Riptype Foundry was launched in January 2022 by designer Nick Losacco (joined by Ciarán Brandin) as a typographic passion project. Known for retail releases like Generator—a functional yet characterful sans—and the tightly condensed blackletter Klostro, the studio specialises in both original and custom type work. Clients include design studios, agencies, and apparel brands (e.g., Klostro used on Kappa soccer jerseys by Burro Studio). What sets Riptype apart is its friendly, approachable ethos—offering full-feature trial fonts, student pricing, and simple licensing—all while releasing experimental, hybrid typefaces that bridge utility and personality.
