Positype is an independent type foundry founded in 2000 by Neil Summerour and based in Jefferson, Georgia. It has released over 60 retail font families—more than 500 fonts—including award-winning designs like Tegaki, which earned the 2012 Morisawa People’s Choice Award, and multiple Type Directors Club Certificates of Typographic Excellence. Its typefaces have been used by major clients such as Oculus, Facebook, Victoria’s Secret, Revlon, BBC, ABC, L’Oréal, Panera, Audible, Molson Coors, Girl Scouts of America, and id Software. In addition to retail fonts, Positype creates custom type for sectors ranging from advertising and publishing to broadcast and digital media.
