​ECAL Typefaces is an online type foundry established in 2015 by ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne, in collaboration with Swiss Typefaces. It serves as a platform for students from ECAL's Bachelor Graphic Design and Master Type Design programs to showcase and distribute their typefaces. Uniquely embedded within a university, ECAL Typefaces offers fonts designed by students, blending academic exploration with practical application. Half of the income generated from sales goes directly to the students, with the remainder supporting the foundry's operations and educational initiatives.
